bee & bug house (page 04)

a bee (& bug) house for solitary bees. built sept2011. inhabited summer 2012.

Moving into spring... These photos are from late March 2013. A few warm days; things are drying out a bit (it rains a lot around here in the winter). A number of the bee house guests have decided it's time to get out and stretch.

And already the adults are looking at starting the process again...

I'm hoping to get a few more of these little condos going, encouraged by the activity we've already seen.
